I've also started working another part-time job in addition to ISI, and am only just beginning to see how dropping my hours with ISI has changed things. It's another story for another time, but to give a quick summary until then, God provided another job when I needed it the most. And, while it is also a job that I love, I have learned that nothing can compare to the joy I feel when serving, teaching, mentoring, and meeting international students.
God answered my prayer, and I had brunch with one student and coffee with another. I believe that God wants me to connect with these girls, specifically. One will be here another year, , another 2-3 years. The first is confident. Our conversation was relaxed over a Shari's brunch with another student. Another was a lot of English practice. I was thankful for our new staff person (who will be working in Beaverton/Portland) being there at the second meeting as it made the conversation go more smoothly.
